Nottingham is a fantastic, vibrant city to live in. At NTU we attracted around 37,000 applications worldwide this year (UCAS 2015). We are one of the largest and most popular universities in the UK because we are committed to giving you the best possible student experience. A massive 90% of our current students say they would recommend studying at NTU (latest NSS Survey 2014).

Our world-leading research informs our undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses. This is significant, as our University achieved the HR Excellence in Research Award from the European Commission. We achieved a 5 star rating for Internationalisation.

We realise that your employability skills are your passport to the world of work. That's why we provide our students with so many opportunities to gain extra skills, have fun and meet new people. We are now fourth university for the number of students on year-long work placements in the UK and third in England (2013/14 HESA).

We have over 200 courses for you to choose from here at NTU. We're proud to say that 93% of our graduates are employed or engaged in further study six months after leaving (latest DLHE survey undergraduate results 2012/13).

NTU has three campus sites and we’ve invested over £350 million across all three campuses to give you the best possible student experience. Last year, we opened a new library at our Brackenhurst campus, representing a £2.75 million investment. Boots Library at the City site has just had a £4.2 million refurbishment and the library at Clifton campus has undergone significant improvements. In addition, our brand new Students' Union is 5,500 square metres of social, sports, leisure and well-being facilities.

Our world-leading research has a direct impact on people's lives, as well as what you will learn - like our research into new biomarkers for detecting cancer. We're proud that our staff and courses inform and share the latest knowledge.

We have internationalised our courses to give you insights into other countries and cultures. With 50 partner academic institutions across 40 countries, we really are well connected, which means you will be too. Some courses also let you study abroad for a year.

We want NTU to be your home from home, a place where you can make friends for life and lay the foundation for a successful career. Pick us as your first choice and you'll be guaranteed a place in University allocated accommodation (Conditions apply).
