London South Bank University

The excitement of the city is always with you in London. Our main campus at the Elephant and Castle is ideally located for you to experience it all.

In our latest wave of campus improvements, we've invested well over £60m in student buildings and learning spaces since 2005. Our newly-built Student Centre opened in Autumn 2012 and instantly became a hub for learning, support and recreation. We've also transformed a run of landmark Grade II listed buildings into an incubator for start-up businesses and created the Clarence Centre for Enterprise and Innovation.

We are an active research university across our seven Schools, with outcomes and practices underpinning our teaching and strongly enhancing our student experience. The results of the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) contained excellent news about the quality of LSBU research. The university emerged as one of the top three modern universities in London after 73% of its research was given the two highest ratings (4* and 3*) for 'impact' - an assessment of the reach and significance a research project has achieved. MBA student, Asim Shaikh, was working as an eCommerce coordinator for The White Company when he started at LSBU. He found the course structure meant he was able to fit in study around work. With classes in the evenings and a focus on independent study, the course helps working students fit everything in.

We give our students the skills needed for the workplace and see them quickly employed once they graduate. Our teaching content is built around intelligence we gather from employers, current trends and the University's highly applied research. This way we always know what employers are looking for. Staff have major connections with industry, and placements and field trips build students' learning experience.

Accredited by the professionals

Like the best vocational universities, all of our courses are accredited or developed alongside the industry's leading professional bodies. Here are just some of our affiliations:

- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

- Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)

- Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

- Bar Standards Board

- Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE)

- Institution of Engineering Designers (iED)

- Health & Care Professionals Council (HCPC)

- Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

- Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)

With low interest, affordable loans available to eligible full-time undergraduate students you don't have to pay your Tuition Fees upfront. Plus, you could also benefit from student funding opportunities offered by LSBU, including scholarships and bursaries. As the majority of postgraduates self-fund, we have flexible payment options for eligible students to help spread their study costs. There are also Government initiatives, such as Career Development Loans and childcare benefits.

We received the highest possible rating for the quality of our education in the last Quality Assurance Assessment (QAA).

Working students know how important it is to fit studying around their careers. Our city-centre location, just a short distance south of the Thames, has impressive transport links.
