Northbrook College, Sussex

Northbrook College is the principal provider of work-related further education in an area centred on the south coast town of Worthing. We are also the largest provider in West Sussex of undergraduate courses for the creative and cultural industries. The College additionally has contracts for Apprenticeship training, Adult and Community Learning and we provide courses in most work-related areas as well as those for personal development.

Northbrook College is one of the largest educational establishments in Sussex, with approximately 1000 staff and 16000 full and part time students. Northbrook has two campuses in Worthing and a campus at Shoreham Airport.

Northbrook was formed in 1986 when the West Sussex College of Art and Design (founded 1912) merged with two other colleges: Worthing College of Technology and Chelsea College of Aeronautical Engineering (founded 1924).

The College has extensive well-equipped studios and workshops for design, craft and engineering courses. Other facilities include a professional theatre on campus, a working restaurant, a hair & beauty salon, an aircraft hangar and state-of-the-art recording studios.

The College offers a wide range of full and part time courses from basic skills to degrees. Qualifications include trade and professional qualifications as well as pre-university diplomas and university degrees.
