PORTSMOUTH CAMPUS
Portsmouth is lively beaches and vivid street art. It’s rich in naval history and buzzing with indie start-ups. It’s a city alive with possibility. The University campus is woven through the city centre. That means shopping, cafés and nightlife are always on your doorstep. And you can walk to the seafront or historic Old Portsmouth in minutes.
Within a 10 minute walk from campus, you’ll find miles of beaches and green spaces. Two original Victorian piers offer amazing views, amusement arcades and rides. Spinnaker Tower gives you stunning views of the city and the Solent. Gunwharf Quays is a destination designer outlet with bars, restaurants, cinema and bowling alley. Naval history comes to life at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. And with several major music, theatre and comedy venues, there’s always entertainment on tap.
Getting to and from Portsmouth couldn’t be easier. There are three stations close to our campus and popular residential areas. We’re well connected to London, with a fast train service taking just 90 minutes to reach Waterloo. There are also easy connections to Cardiff, Brighton, Bournemouth, Southampton, Winchester and some of the main London airports.
If you prefer to travel by bus, we have National Express pick-up and drop-off points around the city. The main station for local and intercity buses is at The Hard Interchange, on the edge of Portsmouth Harbour, a short walk from campus.
LONDON CAMPUS

Just 20 minutes from central London, our campus is in the buzzing heart of an artistic local community. In London, we champion block teaching: by studying one module at a time, it’s easier for you to plan your life around your studies.

All halls at Portsmouth are close to everything you might need: shops, restaurants, entertainment, public transport and the beach. It’s all in easy walking distance.
There’s a choice of accommodation to suit a range of budgets, including: self-catered or catered, en suite or shared bathrooms, shared flats or corridor rooms, studio flats, accessible rooms and designated quieter areas.
The Residence Life team provides wellbeing and support services in halls, 24/7. They also offer a diverse programme of social events.
We guarantee all new first-year undergraduates a place in halls. You just need to make us your firm first choice and meet any accommodation deadlines.
From seafront to city centre, you’ll find plenty of places to rent in the private sector. Our Student Housing Team can help you with everything from finding a housemate to dealing with contracts and landlords.
