University of Hertfordshire
The University of Hertfordshire is a modern, dynamic and enterprising university with a thriving, diverse community of nearly 34,000 students from over 110 countries. We offer more than 700 career-focused degrees, industry-standard facilities and opportunities to study at more than 150 universities worldwide, or gain work experience to build the skills employers are looking for.
We work closely with employers to design our courses, helping ensure what you learn reflects the careers you'll go into after graduation. From practical learning in specialist facilities to placements, live projects and dedicated careers support, you'll graduate ready to take the next step towards your career.
Just 25 minutes north of London, you will find inspiring and engaging teaching, fantastic extra-curricular activities, a supportive community where you can make lifelong friendships, skilled academic4s who are experts in their field and support whenever you need it.
Ranked as a Top 50 University in the Guardian University Guide 2026, we're proud to help students develop the confidence, skills, and experience to achieve their ambitions.
We are based across two main campuses, College Lane and de Havilland, both linked by a free 7-minute shuttle bus or just a 20-minute walk apart.
You'll have opportunities to try new things and meet new people in recreational spaces, cafes, gyms, and shops across both campuses. Some of our students’ favourite spots include Starbucks and Subway on College Lane, and Café Ambition (which doubles as Bar Ambition) on de Havilland.
Modern accommodation is available on campus, and you’ll be guaranteed a room in your first year (subject to meeting application deadlines and personal requirements). All bills are included, and you’ll have access to 24/7 support and security. It’s also a great way to make friends, experience campus life, and enjoy the ultimate student experience.
Whatever your question, we've got answers. Find the information you need or connect with the right team for advice, services and support across the University.
